We’re very quick to give advice for cleaning your homes. After all, we’re cleaning experts! But what about advice for choosing an excellent maid service? If you have a need for a residential cleaning service to come and clean for you, what do you look for? How do you choose? Many of the larger cities have multiple companies to choose from.
In this multi part series, we’ll help you navigate the best way to choose a cleaning company for your home.
Do some research and make a list of great, potential candidates. Examine each of those companies with the following questions.
Fantastic Questions to Ask Yourself about Each Company
Ask Yourself What is Important to You in a Cleaning: This can be anything from very detailed cleanings, to general cleanings, to all natural cleanings, to organisation, to just some extra help, or a light sprucing up, etc. Do they have extra services you’re interested in? Do you need to hire someone on a budget? Do you just need a one time clean? Or do you want ongoing services?
Once you know what you want and need, you can use this to filter through the companies on your list against what you feel is important when your home is cleaned. Some companies specialize in specific things. Find the one that will give you the cleaning you need!
Check Out their Google Reviews What’s their average rating? This lets you know the quality of the cleanings and what people think about their services! Read up on the reviews that are longer and take time to explain the reason for their rating. Longer reviews are a great peek into what’s actually going on. If enough people are saying the same thing (good or bad) it’ll make it easy for you to decide how great their services are.
It’s always a good idea to take in all reviews with a grain of salt, too.
Poke Around on Their Website or Social Media: this can tell you a lot about what they represent and what they value. It will tell you the sorts of cleanings they offer and how to get an estimate. A good cleaning company website will outline the services they offer, the cleaning products they use. Do they clean all natural or use chemical cleaners? (if that’s important to you). There will be other important details.
Next week we’ll look at a few more tips to help you evaluate how to find the cleaning service that’s just right for you!
